Reds throw it away again...
United once again failed to take advantage of Chelsea dropping points by losing by the odd goal in three at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal today. United took the lead courtesy of a superb second half headed goal by Wayne Rooney and until 83 minutes it looked as though the visitors may hang on to win to make the gap at the top nine points, but United couldn't defend well enough to keep the Gunners out, twice Arsenal broke down United's left flank and both times the ball ended up in the back of the net. For the first Arsenal goal Gary Neville was guilty of ball watching thus allowing Robin Van Persie to sneak in behind him and then crash home the equaliser, then in the dying moments Arsenal broke again down the left flank and this time Henry of all people was left unmarked to score with a header of all things. The Reds will undoubtedly pay the price for this major slip up.
