Paul le Guen's has left Scottish giants Rangers by 'mutual consent' and many are speculating about the reasoning behind this 'shock' exit, former Rangers star Graham Roberts believes he has quit while his reputation remains in tact.
Personally I thought it was a strange move to join Rangers in the first place for the Frenchman whose former team Lyon are still doing very well and make no mistake the current Lyon team is very much Paul le Guen's and not Gerrard Houllier's.
The former Rangers and Lyon manager will of course find another top job quite easily, that is the way of things in top flight football. He's actually been touted as a possible replacement for Ferguson at United - but given the events at Rangers, he's blotted his cv somewhat. Once again though it highlights that no matter what your reputation is there's no guarantees of instant success - though currently Rangers are second in the table to Celtic, but they are 17 points adrift - in any another other league being second wouldn't look too bad, but of course the annual race for the title has only two serious runners, the words Mickey Mouse league spring to mind... and no I haven't forgotten about Celtic beating United this season.
