United took on Aston Villa at Old Trafford today as rivals Chelsea entertained Wigan at the Bridge, the Reds won 3-1 while the Blues tonked the 'pie-eaters' 4-0, so it's no change at the top of the table.
The reds romped into a 3-0 half-time lead courtesy of early goals by Park and Carrick, then on 35 minutes the Reds player of the season so far Ronaldo headed the home side into a comfortable lead to seal all three points. However, Villa came out after the break and made more of a fist of it as Gabriel Agbonlahor brought the visitors back into the game after excellent work by Milan Baros on 55 minutes.
Fergie will be delighted to have taken all three points from this fixture added to which United have a 100% record against Villa this season beating them three times, rival boss Martin O'Neill will be glad to see the back of the Reds for sure.
