Rooney in United shirt controversey...

Various media reports are claiming that Wayne Rooney will this season switch from wearing the number 8 shirt to the 'famous' number 10. If true, this move is likely to cause outrage among many parents and adult fans alike who have recently purchased a United shirt adorned with Rooney's name and current number.

Clubs often cash-in on shirt sales during the summer months with new kit launches and with new players arriving, but this latest move if proved true is taking things a bit too far. Why stop at Rooney, why not give the whole squad new numbers that would be a good money making wheeze...they are taking the ****.

  1. As United are replacing all of last seasons 3 kits, and the new premier league numbering has been introduced.

They picked the wrong time to buy a new shirt and there usually heavily discounted prior to a new kit launch as well!
