Reds face early derby day as fixtures are announced..

The fixture list for the 2007-2008 season has been released today and to be honest they don't look too bad for the Red Devils, United fans will always look for any potentially difficult looking early and late fixtures and those which could may cause problems when falling close to Champions League games, three such games stand out.

The Champions League fixtures have yet to be made, but going off last seasons match day calendar, we have an away game with Arsenal in early November which falls around the time of Matchday 4, and in April we are at home to Arsenal around the time of the second leg of the Champions League quarter final, later in the same month we face Chelsea away following the first leg of the semi-final, so it looks as though once again the Premier League have not helped the big clubs in their quest to win the Champions League by pitting them against their biggest rivals at such an important stage of Europe's premier club competition.

The derby games with City are always diary dates, and the first one takes place just three games into the new season as the Reds have to travel to the COMS on August 18th, the return game at OT takes place on February 9th. Reds fans will also note that Roy Keane brings Sunderland to his former home ground on September 1st and the return leg at the Stadium of Light takes place on Boxing Day.

  1. Scandal in Portuguese Football.

The President of FCPorto was acussed of bribing referees!

And... this was during the season 2003/2004. When Mourinho won the Champions League.

Now imagine why he has not been able to win it in Chelsea???
