Striker claims that United want to sign him...

Following on from the news that Mark Hughes has left Blackburn Rovers it comes as no surprise to hear that several players are said to unhappy that their manager has left the club. As far as United are concerned striker Roque Santa Cruz has reportedly told La Nacion newspaper that Manchester United want to sign him. The 27 year-old Paraguayan striker's previous clubs include Bayern Munich. Would Roque Santa Cruz be a good signing for the Red Devils? Let's hear your opinions....

  1. Definitely a good signing. Last season, he was an instant succes, poaching goals of all sorts, strong in the air, not a mug when the ball is at his feet, just about perfect for our style of play. He's definitely got quality, and if he can score that many with Blackburn (no disrespect to them) then I'm sure he can bang in 30 at OT. Hope Sir Alex can use his powers of persuasion to good use here!

  2. He would be a great signing. Perfectly put by trooper, if he can score so many goals with Blackburn, where the midfield isn't as proficient in creating chances as United's.

He would be a brilliant option throughout the season, go on Ferguson, sign him.
