With the transfer window set to open, reports are linking United with two left-backs, the latest name to emerge is Branislav Ivanovic (23). the Serbian defender is currently playing for Lokomotiv Moscow, reports claim the fee could be as much as £10m which seems like an awful lot of money for a fullback (we will always make comparisons to Dennis Irwin who cost the club buttons to sign but went to on to become a red legend). Ivanovic is under contract until December 2011 and it's thought that Fergie will no doubt have consulted Vidic on his fellow Serb who is another international.
The Reds have also been linked to Reading's Nicky Shorey who is apparently stalling on signing a new deal. Shorey has 18 months remaining on contract.

Tevez saga end in sight?...
It looks like West Ham United may have buckled under the weight of pressure being exerted on the club by the agents who represents Carlos Tevez, because MSI have hinted that the transfer saga over the Argentine's proposed transfer to Manchester United could be resolved next week.
MSI have issued proceedings against West Ham and it looked as though the matter would have to be decided by the High Court. However, the threat of court action looks to have brought about a settlement of a dispute which has dragged on for far too long.
West Ham could not afford to be on the wrong end of any court decision which would have no doubt led to further court action by relegated Sheffield United.
It remains to seen what compromise deal has been agreed between West Ham and MSI. The Premier League haven't handled this saga well in any way shape or form and they too will have to agree with any settlement that sees Tevez finally moving to United.
United fans will be hoping that the deal goes ahead in the next few days and it's looking promising , but the saga isn't over yet.

Stunning Red's double transfer swoop...
Great news for United fans because the Red's have made a stunning double transfer swoop to sign 19 year old Brazilian playmaker Anderson from Porto plus 20 year old Portuguese wonder boy Nani from Sporting Lisbon. United released the news via the clubs official website, the fees have apparently been agreed in principle. Added to which the club will complete the signing of Hargreaves next week. Looking good.
