Is this the worst football merchandise ever ?

The suit pictured on the left has been lent to the Manchester City Museum by a fan, it was available in the mid to late 70s - you couldn’t make up the story.
It was originally owned by a fan called Ronnie Ashworth of Rochdale, he also bought a matching cardigan - the whole lot cost Ronnie £30

He then became a Man City bingo agent and used to go door-to-door in the suit selling bingo cards.

You could buy the suit from the City souvenir shop outside Maine Road, fans had the option of off-the-peg or made to measure.

The cost of sartorial elegance?!
Blazer £16.50
FLARED trousers £8
Cardigan £6.50
Tie: £1.65
Quote from Ronnie: "I couldn’t ask for anything more!"
