Joey Barton's uninsured and un-taxed Range Rover towed away...

Scouse bad lad Joey Barton has had his luxury Range Rover towed away following a clamp down on uninsured and un-taxed vehicles by Merseyside police. This is in the same week that Barton held talks about joining Newcastle United - a move which is being held up over a row with City over a '£300,000 loyalty bonus'.

Barton has been talking about his disappoinment about not winning any trophies with Man City. If winning silverware is high on his priority list then joining the Magpies looks less than a good move as they've not won a trophy since 1969 when they won the UEFA (Fairs) Cup Winners Cup, and they haven't won a domestic trophy since 1955 when they won the FA Cup.

Newcastle are also being linked with another 'bad lad' and former player Craig Bellamy, if both deals go through, fun and games off and on the pitch at St James Park are guaranteed this coming season. Big Sam Allardyce will have his hands full.
