Gudjohnsen fancies Man United move....

Interesting news on the transfer grapevine because we have an update on a story which we brought to you earlier on in the week. Barcelona's Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen,29, has openly admitted that he would be interested in moving to the Red Devils. This could of course be merely kite flying on behalf the former Chelsea star, but given the swap talk that United could be about to offer young defender Gerard Pique in part exchange - it could well turn out to be a case of 'no smoke without fire'.

On the potential move, Gudjohnsen says : "If I leave then my idea would be to return to British football.

"A perfect choice for me will be a club that plays in the Champions League. Obviously Manchester United is a club that fits into that category."

We will, as ever, keep you up to date with any developments on this story.
