Grandad blocks striker deal?...

Reports in the press claim that United's hopes of capturing Eidur Gudjohnsen from Barcelona could be scuppered. The Reds were reportedly hoping to offer young Spanish defender Gerard Pique, in exchange for the Icelandic striker, but it emerges that Pique's grandad, was sacked from his position of director of Barcelona and so Pique has vowed not to return to his former club.
