Race for the title going to the wire...

IF anyone doubted it before today's games, the race for the Premiership title will go down to the wire after United lost 2-1 against Portsmouth and earlier in the day Chelsea scraped a 1-0 win against a weakened Spurs side.

United didn't play well today, but they did create enough chances to have won the game, but it's the same old story if you don't take your chances you do eventually pay for it in the Premiership. However, United appeared to have a good goal chalked off by today's referee and they could have perhaps had a penalty too, then to cap off a bad day Rio Ferdinand scored an own goal in the dying minutes to make it 2-0, before John O'Shea scored at the death to make it 2-1.

  1. Gigg's passing to Portsmith in the second half broke up all attaching play in which he was involved. Pretty careless for one of his talent?

  2. It is going down to the wire for sure...the past week hasnt been the best for the devils..first the Roma game and now Pompey, but then again Chelsea have jus had lady luck smiling on them for the last couple of weeks, the game against Watford should have been a well earned draw for Watford but Chelsea scrapped through, and today Spurs took Chelsea to the wire but the Blues could scrape through again...thats football, just want the Devils to come back next week rejuvenated against Roma and play some fantastic football that theyve been playing over the last couple of months...
